Edisto Beach State Park

Just one of four oceanfront state parks in South Carolina, the Edisto Beach State Park is one of the most beloved destinations on the island.

For generations, visitors have taken advantage of the hiking and biking trails that wind throughout the park; learning about the nature and culture of the area at the park’s environmental education center; and experiencing the beauty found all over Edisto.

Visitors to the Edisto Beach State Park can stay for day trips or spend some more time getting back to nature through tent and RV camping or by staying in one of the rustic cabins in the parks.

With one of the most unique locations of any campground, visitors have the opportunity to watch as the ocean ebbs and flows with the tides, view native animals as they thrive in their habitats, and truly appreciate the beauty of the lowcountry.

Camping

Campers coming to Edisto Beach can rejoice knowing there are more than 100 tent and RV campsites along with seven rustic cabins. Electric and water hookups are available at most campsites, although rustic tent camping is available as well.

While fires are prohibited on the beach, fire pits are available for campers looking to roast marshmallows or hot dogs.

Indoor bathrooms are also available on site, so campers can rinse the salt and sand from their bodies after a long day at the beach.

Cabins

The Edisto Beach State Park offers a handful of cabins located on the salt marsh 1.5 miles from the ocean. These cabins are fully furnished and supplied with bed and bath linens, so visitors have what they need at their disposal. The cabins are heated and air conditioned as well, so visitors can take advantage of camping at the beach no matter what time of year.

Each cabin also features utensils, microwaves, a coffee maker, television, and screened in porch.

Rates vary and are subject to change.
