Weather Report: November 19, 2012
With the weather we’ve been having, it’s easy to be thankful on Edisto Beach. Although today starts the week off with a little cloud cover, the ample sun that takes over beginning Tuesday more than makes up for it.
Today there might be some clouds and a little bit of rain, but with a high of 58 degrees and a low of 50 degrees, it’s hard to complain too much about these mid-November temperatures.
The sun will pop out in full blast on Tuesday and bring with it a high of 60 degrees.
There’s a 30 percent chance that on Wednesday the area will experience a little bit of rain. The high for Wednesday is 65 degrees with a low of 44 degrees.
Thanksgiving Day will be partly sunny with a high near 70 degrees and a low of 41 degrees. Take advantage of the perfect fall weather and head outside before the big meal.
Friday and the weekend will also be bright and sunny with highs in the low 60s and lows in the high 40s.
If you find yourself on Edisto this week celebrating with friends or family, consider helping out the community by donating canned goods to the Edisto Food Pantry located at the Presbyterian Church located at 2164Hwy174. Call 869-2326 for more information about what is needed and what times items can be donated.
A food drive also is being carried out by Animal Lovers of Edisto to feed the dogs during the winter season. Unopened bagged or canned food is acceptable and appreciated (as are unopened treats). Call 869-3869 to donate to the dogs.
Don’t forget that Christmas is right around the corner and the Edisto Elves are looking for donations so that every family on Edisto can have a happy holiday. Look for collection boxes in various stores and restaurants throughout town to make a donation.
